Bright and early on November 26, the 129 elders and sisters of the China Hong Kong Mission met in the Wai Tau Tsuen village, in the New Territories area of Hong Kong. They were there to provide a labor of love to the elderly farmers and residents of this remote area by spending the entire morning working on the land.

Training Anchors Africa Tour

The Church's Sunday School general president, Russell T. Osguthorpe, and his counterpart in the Young Men general presidency, David L. Beck, recently embarked on a tour to Africa, visiting members in a trio of nations. They returned home to Church headquarters with a better understanding and appreciation of the many challenges—and opportunities—facing members in a young, dynamic corner of the Church.

BYU-Idaho Graduation: Inspiration "Available to All"

Inspiration to know what to do in every important phase of life, both personal and professional, is available to all, said Elder Richard G. Scott, during Brigham Young University-Idaho's fall commencement services Saturday. The exercises were held in the Hart Auditorium, as family members, faculty, and friends celebrated the 1,280 graduates—the most graduates in the history of the school.

Church Grows in the Dominican Republic

In November, Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles visited the Dominican Republic, a country that he had visited 30 years earlier when there were just a handful of Mormons there. Today more than 110,000 Mormons live in the island nation, and the Church continues to grow rapidly there.

Romanian Members Bring Ancient Prophets to Life in Fireside

To help new members and investigators better understand the prophets of the Book of Mormon, and to help erase prevalent misconceptions about the Church, missionaries and members in the Bucharest District in Romania presented an evening fireside titled "Minunata Dimineata," meaning "Marvelous Morning."
